Responsibilities


We are currently seeking a Territory Manager for our Utah Sales Region. This person will develop and broaden the account base of contractors for GAF-Elk products:

  • Assist in the planning of the team territory objectives and strategies to achieve corporate needs

  • Sell the complete line of GAF-Elk's residential and accessory products within the territory assigned, maintain current account base and develop new accounts for revenue growth

  • Promote GAF-Elk's products to architects, builders, building owners, property managers, contractors and other potential customers

  • Conduct training sessions for customers regarding product knowledge via dealer, contractor meetings, etc. (the selected candidate will also participate at local contractor association meetings),

  • Attend customer shows, conventions and other industry related activities when requested by management

  • Attend product training sessions as required to expand sales.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Marketing/Business with 3-5 yrs. sales/marketing or territory manager in manufacturing of building products

  • Willing to work with applicators to train and educate

  • Be a "Hands On" type

  • Understand relationships: Distributor | Contractor | Builder and be able to communicate effectively at all three levels.  

  • Exceptional communication and negotiating skills

  • Excellent ability to close deals

  • Strong technical and selling skills
