Job Description

Sales Professional | Orange County, CA



Sales representatives at Assurant Employee Benefits work through a broker/agent partnership to generate sales of our Group Voluntary and Traditional products which include Dental, Life and Disability Insurance.

  Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Territory development

  • Cold calling broker/agents to generate leads

  • Establishing and maintaining broker/agent relationships

  • Educating brokers/agents and customers on the products

  • Working quotes to generate the best selling opportunity

  • Successfully creating sales

  • Following up on questions and issues (delegating account management issues to admin staff)

  • Persisting block of business in territory

  • Consulting with brokers to sell within our target market

Success in this position will be defined by:

  • Ability to establish and develop strong relationships with brokers to generate quoting opportunities

  • Teamwork approach to developing and working with home office partners

  • Meet and/or exceed activity goals towards the following: Case count, Quote activity, Broker relationships, Sold premium

Job Requirements:

  • 2-10 years selling experience

  • Proven track record in sales

  • College degree preferred

  • Business to Business selling

  • Met and/or exceeded sales goal

  • Achievement oriented

  • Relationship builder
